Chased by an Arrogant Zillionaire Chapter 8:

“Shouldn’t the Young Sir be resting at home?” the man asked, feeling perplexed.

“I have some business to attend to here.” Austin finally went along with the flow, pretending to be the Mr. Aiden as the man suggested.

“What are you doing here?” Austin tried to pry information from the two guards. He realized that his resemblance to someone they feared might be useful. Austin sensed a way to deceive the two guards standing in front of the room.

The two men looked slightly puzzled about the sudden appearance of their boss’s child at the club. However, they couldn’t simply ignore it. Reluctantly, one of them explained their duty at the club.

“We are guarding a woman who was kidnapped by the big boss. She is now in this room.” The guard pointed to one of the rooms nearby.

Austin furrowed his brow. He thought his mother might be in there.

“Take me to her.” Austin firmly requested the guards to meet Zofia.

“But, sir…” The guard hesitated for a moment.

“This is an order. Do you want me to report you for not obeying my orders?” Austin threatened, successfully instilling fear in the guard.

One of the guards opened the door to the room where Zofia was curled up on the bed.

Austin quickly entered and closed the door behind him. He swiftly approached his mother and woke Zofia, who had fallen asleep after exhausting herself serving Xavier earlier.

“Austin!” Zofia exclaimed, surprised to see her son standing beside her.

Zofia immediately sat up, looking at Austin with astonishment.

“How did you get here?” Zofia grabbed Austin’s shoulder.

“I’ll explain later, Mom. For now, it’s best if we leave here. If they realize I’m not their Young Sir, we’ll both be in danger because I can’t possibly fight off the two guards out there.” Austin quickly pulled his mother’s hand to get her to stand up and leave the room.

Zofia complied; Austin was indeed smart and resourceful. His intellect surpassed that of children his age. So, she entrusted everything to Austin.

“Where are you taking the woman, young sir?” One of the guards blocked Austin as he tried to take Zofia away.

“I want to take this woman home. Step aside, don’t obstruct my path.” Austin calmly ordered the big-bodied guard in front of him.

“Has the young sir been informed, big boss?” The guard seemed hesitant and afraid because Xavier had warned them not to allow anyone into the room, let alone rescue Zofia and take her away from there.

Austin fell silent for a moment. He didn’t let go of Zofia’s hand. Meanwhile, Zofia had been nervous and scared all along, unable to utter a single word.

“This is an order from the big boss himself, who wants to meet this woman and has instructed me to take her home. If you don’t believe me, feel free to call the big boss now.” Austin’s calm demeanor successfully deceived the two guards, who finally allowed them both to leave the club.

Zofia breathed a sigh of relief as they reached outside the club.

“Austin, thank you for saving Mom.” Zofia kissed Austin’s forehead affectionately.

“I’m glad Mom is safe. Let’s hurry home. Chloe, Carly, and Aunt Juliana must be very worried about us,” said Austin, whose manner of speaking was already more mature than his age.

Once again, Zofia hugged Austin tightly. She was grateful to have such a smart and mature son. Perhaps people wouldn’t suspect Austin had extraordinary abilities like this. His face was so innocent and cheerful. But behind it all, Austin possessed remarkable abilities.

A taxi passed by, and Zofia hailed it to go home.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Xavier, intending to return to the club to see Zofia again, had to postpone his plan because he received a call from his office to attend an urgent board meeting.

Xavier entered the meeting room, where the company’s directors were already present. Xavier couldn’t concentrate fully as his mind kept wandering to Zofia.

An hour later, the meeting concluded.

Xavier immediately left his office.

James ran a little, trying to keep up with his boss’s strides. He was curious why Xavier seemed restless during the meeting earlier.

“What’s wrong, sir? It seems like something’s going on,” James inquired.

“Your information from five years ago was wrong, James, because Zofia is still alive,” Xavier revealed, leaving James gaping in astonishment.

“So, that woman lied?” James ran again, catching up to Xavier, who had walked several meters ahead after stopping momentarily upon hearing the quite shocking news.

“Yes, and you’ve been careless for letting them fool you,” Xavier snapped irritably at James as he opened his car door.

The man fell silent, acknowledging his mistake and not wanting to further anger Xavier.

“Be more careful from now on,” Xavier admonished before getting into the car.

James nodded and took a deep breath after Xavier drove his car towards the club.

Fortunately, it seemed like Xavier was in a good mood today. Otherwise, his fate would be sealed in the hands of that temperamental man.

Upon arriving at the club, Xavier immediately headed to the room where Zofia was being held captive. The two guards still standing in front of the door looked surprised to see Xavier return in haste.

They had just been about to leave the club as there was nothing left for them to guard.

“Is the woman inside?” Xavier asked in front of the room door.

“Sir, didn’t you…?” The guard didn’t understand why Xavier was still asking about Zofia’s condition.

“Where is the woman?!” Xavier shouted loudly, his voice booming, as he saw the empty room, causing the two guards to tremble in fear.

“Sir, wasn’t it you who instructed the young sir Aiden to bring the woman home?” The guard asked fearfully.

He was truly confused because he didn’t understand what was really happening.

“What do you mean, huh?!” Xavier gripped the guard’s collar. The flashes of anger were clearly visible in his eyes, making the guard even more scared.

“T-the young sir Aiden came here earlier and said that you instructed him to take the woman home.”

The explanation from the guard furrowed Xavier’s brow. How could Aiden have left the house? He was supposed to be confined to his room.

“Are you sure Aiden was the one who take the woman?” Xavier didn’t want to let go of his grip.

“Yes, sir, we’re sure that the boy was Little Aiden.”

Xavier pushed the guard’s body until the big man staggered and nearly fell.

“When did Aiden leave the house? He should be under the household’s supervision and serving his punishment,” Xavier muttered.

Xavier called the household head responsible for watching over Aiden and inquired about Aiden’s condition. He also asked about Zofia’s whereabouts at his house. But the household head said that Aiden hadn’t brought Zofia home.

Xavier hung up the phone. With annoyance, he ordered his men to search for Zofia throughout the city.

“Find that woman until you find her. You’re all idiots!”

Slap!

Each guard received a hard slap from Xavier, who was now consumed by anger.

With heavy breaths, trying to contain his rage, Xavier left the club to go to his house to ask Aiden about Zofia’s whereabouts.
